Senior Operations Manager

Position Overview: Slip Robotics is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to act as the right-hand partner to the COO, overseeing critical operational functions to ensure the company's successful scaling. This role is pivotal in managing day-to-day field operations, real estate coordination, and customer service excellence. The Senior Operations Manager will also oversee our field leadership team responsible for managing the distributed field technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Field Operations Oversight:
    • Lead and manage daily field operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and high-quality service delivery.
    • Develop and implement operational strategies, workflows, and procedures that optimize productivity and minimize downtime.
    • Collaborate closely with technicians and regional teams to continuously improve operational standards and performance.
  2. Real Estate Coordination:
    • Oversee site selection, lease negotiations, facility planning, and asset management aligned with Slip Robotics' growth and operational needs.
    • Coordinate with external brokers, legal teams, and internal stakeholders to manage real estate portfolio effectively.
  3. Customer Service Management:
    • Drive excellence in customer service, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
    • Collaborate closely with Customer Success to develop and manage customer service policies, procedures, and metrics to consistently improve the customer experience.
    • Address escalated customer issues promptly and professionally, ensuring resolution and customer satisfaction.
  4. Leadership and Team Development:
    • Mentor, coach, and develop operations teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Establish clear performance expectations, regularly reviewing and addressing performance to build a high-performing team.
  5. Data-Driven Decision Making:
    • Utilize KPIs, dashboards, and real-time data to monitor operational performance and inform strategic decisions.
    • Identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks proactively, driving strategic initiatives and corrective actions as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in operations management, ideally within a fast-paced, scaling company.
  • Proven experience managing distributed teams and operations across multiple locations.
  • Real estate and customer service management experience strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to operate autonomously and drive results.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a clear ability to engage effectively with all organizational levels.
