What You Will Do 

This role’s purpose is to assist sales in pre- and post-purchase content and product implementation expertise. The majority of this person’s time will be dedicated to sales efforts, the balance of that time will be spent being engaged and present in lesson and resource development and reviews that truly make this person the expert. 

This person is an educator, trainer, and content maker at heart. They have expertise teaching, but no ownership of the sale. Their DNA is that of a person looking to educate and implement successful teaching strategies and standards-aligned lessons and resources to future and current Sphero customers. 

The ideal candidate is located in California, Washington, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, or Colorado.

Responsibilities: 

  • Meet frequently with the Director of Education Content and Content Team to stay current on Sphero’s latest offerings. Collaborate to share expertise, combine resources, and refine strategies with other Implementation Specialists to support Sphero’s customer base.  
  • Meet frequently with the Sales Team to discuss opportunities and the needs of districts.
  • Serve as conduit between the Sales, Content, and Product Teams to ensure accurate messaging is delivered to customers and feedback and concerns are delivered to Content, Product, or other respective internal teams.
  • Participate in pre-sale customer meetings to proactively showcase the entire Sphero product ecosystem and its impact in the classroom. Support sales as Sphero and classroom subject matter experts.
  • Develop and maintain lasting relationships with key customers post-sale through ongoing meetings and trainings to ensure the full value of Sphero products are realized in schools.  
  • Increase Sphero product adoption and retention rates that eventually lead to upgrade programs and product expansion across platforms and departments. 
  • Travel to deliver professional development, meet with educators and school leaders, and attend conferences.
  • Train members of the Sales Team on the latest Sphero products and content.
  • Develop and deliver custom content as needed for unique customer opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Support Team on any technical concerns a customer may have with our products.

Requirements:

  • Background working in schools as a CTE, technology, and/or classroom educator. Experience can be focused in one level but applicants should demonstrate an understanding of the opportunities and challenges of educators Kindergarten through 12th grade. Experience with CTE classes and pathways is a plus. 
  • Experience with Sphero products including indi, BOLT, RVR+, littleBits, and Blueprint as well as other edtech hardware products popular in classrooms.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote, teach, and model best practices integrating Sphero products into classrooms using both Sphero- and self-made curricular resources.
  • Excellent presentation and people skills. The ideal candidate is comfortable reaching out to and working with educators with a wide variety of needs and goals. 
  • Experience creating and sharing lessons and other resources for classroom use.
  • Ability to distill complex technologies and concepts into bite size chunks for others. You are comfortable switching from high level strategy into low level execution on a daily basis.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of their time.
  • Must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States.

A Day in the Life:

  • Spring out of bed knowing that you get to support kids learning today!
  • Check your calendar for the day’s agenda.
  • Check Slack to see what is happening in the company and post your morning update.
  • While sipping on a warm beverage, start going through emails to respond to educators. 
  • Touch base with your Sales Team to prioritize your work with customers. 
  • Check in with the Director of Education Content and Content Team members to stay current on the latest product and content news.
  • Deliver a virtual training to help a customer that just purchased a Sphero product get up and running as quickly as possible in their school. 
  • Take a stroll outside to get some fresh air, and eat lunch.  
  • Join a Sales Team coworker on a call with a potential customer and provide unique insights into how particular Sphero robots and engineering kits will help them meet their goals. 
  • Check your Slack for any communications and respond accordingly with appropriate information.
  • Collaborate with other Implementation Specialists to problem solve and develop custom solutions for different educators and schools. 
  • Book travel for your next work trip, this time delivering workshops to rooms full of teachers at a Sphero symposium. 
  • Close to dinner time! Connect with team to communicate any questions or updates you may have (you are encouraged to do this throughout the day)
  • Sign off to spend time doing what makes you happy! Balance is important.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $108,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.
