About the Role

At Substance, we connect top talent with leading brands to drive impactful growth. We are currently seeking a Brand Manager for our client, a well-established company in the retail industry. This role will be responsible for developing and executing brand strategies, optimizing marketing efforts, and leveraging consumer insights to strengthen the brand’s market presence. Key Responsibilities

Brand Strategy & Execution

  • Partner with the GM Shopper & Customer Marketing to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive brand growth.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies across General Trade (GT), Modern Trade (MT), E-commerce, and owned retail platforms.
  • Utilize market trends and consumer insights to create compelling brand initiatives.

Retail & Channel Optimization

  • Execute the Perfect Store model, optimizing product assortment, pricing, promotions, and in-store visibility.
  • Ensure consistent brand representation across multiple retail channels.

Campaign Performance & Budget Management

  • Oversee the execution of brand campaigns, monitoring performance and making data-driven adjustments.
  • Manage marketing budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and maximum ROI.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and campaign performance using large data sets.
  • Monitor P&L impact and implement strategies to drive sustainable financial growth.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in brand management, marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven marketing.
  • Experience working in General Trade, Modern Trade, and ideally omnichannel marketing.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with external stakeholders, including retail partners and activation agencies.
  • Understanding of P&L management and strategic financial planning.
  • Experience in the consumer goods or retail industry is highly preferred.
