Summer Camp Teachers | Charleston

The Sunshine House Early Learning Academy is seeking Summer Camp Teachers for schools in Charleston! No nights or weekends! And make a difference every day.

About The Sunshine House:

Pay range: $15 - $20 per hour, based on experience & education.

This position will require you to work in the summer camp classroom and be present on all field trips Monday-Friday hours are flexible, but full time.

Summer Camp Teacher Responsibilities:
Summer camp staff supervise young campers and make sure they learn and have fun, while staying safe.

  • Plan outdoor activities or sports for groups of campers.
  • Lead recreational and educational activities, such as swimming or crafting.
  • Educate campers through games and explorations.
  • Make sure all safety rules are followed.
  • Drive a 14-passenger mini bus to field trips (no special license required).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in licensed childcare OR a bachelors degree.
  • Coursework in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
  • Energetic and positive personality.
