Summer Camp Teacher

As a Summer Camp Teacher at The Sunshine House, your main responsibilities will include supervising field trips, providing a safe and inclusive classroom environment, applying child development knowledge to build relationships with children, and tailoring the play-based learning environment. You'll also need to adhere to state licensing, health, fire, and quality rating procedures, all while ensuring everyone has fun!

To become a Summer Camp Teacher at The Sunshine House, you need to have a Colorado Shines Level 2 or higher as an Early Childhood Lead. You’ll also need to be at least 21 years old to drive our 14-passenger bus. Experience working with young children in a licensed daycare or educational setting is highly desirable.

The Sunshine House offers competitive compensation ranging from $17.00 to $19.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications. The Summer Camp Teacher position at The Sunshine House is initially a temporary role, specifically for the summer. However, there are possibilities for transitioning into a part-time or full-time position when school starts in the fall, which means a great opportunity for continued employment!

As a Summer Camp Teacher at The Sunshine House, you will work a Monday to Friday schedule, enjoying weekends and nights off. This offers a great work-life balance while allowing you to engage with children during their most exciting time of year!
