Program Evaluation & Impact Specialist

Founded in 1997, Think Together partners with schools to change the odds for kids by providing award-winning programs during and outside the school day. We’re one of California’s largest nonprofits working in school districts from San Diego to San Francisco. JOB SUMMARY: Reporting to the Senior Director of Evaluation & Insights, the Program Evaluation and Impact Specialist supports the execution of evaluation projects related to program curriculum, training, and overall student impact. This position involves designing measurement tools and supporting data collection efforts, as well as analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data to generate meaningful insights for intended audiences. The Program Evaluation and Impact Specialist will develop compelling reports that effectively communicate these insights, contributing to informed decision-making and enhancing program effectiveness. By leveraging data-driven approaches, the Program Evaluation and Impact Specialist aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of program outcomes and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Evaluation Duties • Create evaluation plans and study designs that answer focused questions deemed critical by Think Together leaders that are rigorous and feasible. • Design data collection tools and protocols, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and observation protocols. • Support the data collection process by collecting data in the field, tracking completion, and ensuring adherence to protocols. • Clean and analyze qualitative or quantitative data to derive meaningful insights, ensuring accurate data analysis. Reporting and Communication • Create reports that effectively describe insights for intended internal and external audiences. • Develop data visualizations to convey findings in a meaningful way. • Share insights in a useful and actionable way, facilitating informed decision-making and program improvement. Project Management and Quality Assurance • Ensure the timely completion of evaluation projects, maintaining clear timelines and deliverables. • Monitor and maintain the quality of data collection processes and outputs, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards. • Collaborate with teams to align evaluation activities with organizational goals and objectives. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor’s degree in social science, Education, Psychology, or Evaluation, or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred. • Demonstrated knowledge of program evaluation principles and practice. • 3- 5 years of experience with multiple phases of the evaluation process, including instrument and protocol design, qualitative and quantitative data collection, data management, data processing, and data analyses. • Knowledge of research and evaluation design and methods (e.g., quasi-experimental designs, survey methodology). • Experience using quantitative data analysis tools such as R, SPSS, SAS to conduct descriptive and inferential statistics. • Experience using quality data analysis tools such as NVivo, MaxQDA, or Dedoose. • Experience with data visualization software like Tableau preferred. • Demonstrated evidence of effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex insights clearly to diverse audiences. COMPUTER SKILLS: • Video conferencing tools (Zoom, Microsoft Teams) • Microsoft Suite • Survey Software (SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics) • Tableau • Email • Use of typical office equipment • Internet software 

COMPENSATION:

  • Salary Range $75,000-$80,000

 This is the targeted compensation for the position. A range of factors, including but not limited to; location, skills, experience, will be considered. Actual compensation may vary.
