Job Title: Senior Manager | America’s Finance Control and Compliance 

Location: Tultitlán  

Terms & Conditions:  Full-time, hybrid within policy.

JOB PURPOSE: 

Your role is to galvanize the organization, including those in headquarters, our factories and logistics operations as well as in our partner ecosystems, to be vigilant about controls and always take proper action to protect our businessIt is everyone's responsibility to drive stewardship, and you play a key role in elevating that message. 

Ice Cream is on a journey to accelerate growth and profitability. We aim at delivering consistent, competitive growth, and growing profit ahead of sales to enable value creation and therefore your role become key to have success and protect our company asset and reputation. 

Establishing and maintaining a strong governance model for the entire company policies and procedures is one of your key responsibilities. You will be expected to apply risk and control concepts to new and existing business models, clearly and concisely communicate identified findings to senior leadership, and partner with cross-functions teams to design workflows in support of risk-reduction activities. 

The role reports directly to the Latin America (Excluding Brazil) Ice Cream Controller with a dotted line to other two IC Controllers (North America and Brazil), providing visibility, assurance, and guidance on business risk management, internal & external audits and value protection.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Understand business risks and ensure the business has robust internal activities, systems and processes to effectively manage and mitigate areas of risk. Strong communication skills critical as it involves coordination of several process owners and all areas of the business.   

  • Ensure controls under GFCF (Global Financial Controls Framework) are understood and addressed by business owners supported by Deloitte (SOX) and KPMG (external audit) testing.  

  • Ensure process owners are stewards of financial control. 

  • Lead Financial Control Assessment, which includes drive remediations of control deficiencies as necessary. Liase with Global Risk & Controls team on situations where there maybe ambiguity or strengthening of controls needed. Tracking and resolution of points raised by CSC while monitoring controls 

  • Drive audits as required by Corporate Audit, External Audit and support controls evaluation for New Business Models, review automation initiatives including BOTs/RPAs to ensure controls impact is understood and addressed 

  • Support Business Integrity audits when required and lead internal audits of specific risks defined by the Leadership team.

EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor's Degree required. 

  • Comprehensive understanding of various business functions and their interconnections. 

  • Expertise with SOX compliance, auditing processes, and risk management practices. 

  • Proven experience in the design, control, and evaluation of business operations for effectiveness. 

  • Extensive experience managing a diverse and complex range of stakeholders, including peers and third parties, while ensuring accountability. 

  • Strong skills in presenting and communicating effectively with both senior finance and non-finance stakeholders. 

  • Over 10 years of experience in finance, particularly in roles related to risk, controls & compliance.
