Your Role

  • You’re an entrepreneurial closer, trusted advisor, and product consultant – working closely with pre-commercialized drug stage life sciences companies to deliver significant ROI through a value-based sales cycle.

  • You’re a pioneer – as one of the founding AEs in our life sciences team, you’ll be responsible for opening doors and navigating complex sales cycles in a highly specialized industry.

  • You’re a product evangelist – adept at aligning Zip’s procurement solutions to the unique challenges of life sciences companies, both today and as our product evolves.

  • You’re a builder – not just a team member but a key contributor to shaping the team culture, processes, and best practices within our new vertical.

 

You Will

  • Become a life sciences procurement expert – gaining deep knowledge of the procurement challenges specific to the industry, from clinical trials to research funding allocation.

  • Master the Zip platform – understanding how our solution can support the specific needs of life sciences companies, and being ready to demo its capabilities.

  • Use advanced sales tools – leveraging cutting-edge sales intelligence, engagement solutions, and your network to drive deal cycles and bring new customers onboard.

  • Adapt and innovate – contributing to the development of our sales processes in a rapidly growing company and a nascent business segment.

 

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of closing experience in technology SaaS sales, with a preference for candidates who have experience in the life sciences or healthcare sectors.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset – you thrive in a startup environment and are excited by the opportunity to build something new.

  • Strong communication skills – you can articulate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Experience using tools like Salesforce, Zoominfo, LinkedIn SalesNav, and Outreach.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in Life Sciences, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

 

Nice to Haves

  • Experience selling to life sciences companies, particularly those in the pre-commercialized drug stage.

  • Familiarity with the regulatory environment and unique challenges faced by life sciences companies.

 

The salary range for this role is $150,000 - $200,000 OTE. The salary for this position is determined based on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant experience, education, or particular skills and expertise.
