About You and The Role

We are growing our People Partner team, dedicated to delivering personalized partnership to our most valued asset: our employees. We are looking for a seasoned Senior People Partner to establish close relationships with senior executives and their respective teams. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a vital strategic advisor to our leadership team, providing invaluable insights across diverse People-related domains that bolster Zipline's growth and operational objectives.

You will be trusted with the responsibility of cultivating a culture of high performance directly within the teams you support, in collaboration with their cross-functional partners.

What You'll Do  

  • Provide guidance and partnership to leaders while  holding them accountable to high performing teams
  • Work with leaders at multiple levels of the organization to develop forward looking strategies and goals focused on professional growth
  • Facilitate bi-annual performance and compensation reviews
  • Facilitate annual engagement survey launches and action planning
  • Partner closely with the People Analytics team to analyze people data and trends to inform people/business decisions and ensure we are building healthy organizations that are ready to grow with the business. 
  • Work closely with leads on effective headcount planning and organizational design.
  • Act as a culture ambassador, emulating Zipline’s values and helping leads to incorporate our values into their conversations around coaching and performance management. 
  • Assess team member concerns and work closely with legal counsel to conduct thorough, unbiased investigations with recommended outcomes.

What You'll Bring 

  • 7+ years of experience in a People or HR role; will also consider candidates with other demonstrated experience in a cross functional role where indirect influence is critical to success
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret data to tell a story and translate it into actionable strategy for leaders
  • Passion for saying the quiet thing out loud and speaking truth to leaders, even when it is difficult
  • Strong ability to balance the needs of the humans and the needs of the business
  • The ability to foster relationships at every organizational level through transparent communication, embodying a blend of strategic foresight, operational acumen, and the skill to maneuver through complex organizational landscapes. 
  • Solid intuition on how to drive organization change in order to improve performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver hard messages to leaders directly
  • Ability to cut through complex issues and find simple solutions
  • A high level of discretion with sensitive people information
  • An impartial and creative approach to problem solving
  • Strong organizational skills, dependability, and attention to detail 

What Else You Need to Know   

This is an onsite role in South San Francisco.

The starting cash range for this role is $165,000 - $190,000. Please note that this is a target, starting cash range for a candidate who meets the minimum qualifications for this role. The final cash pay for this role will depend on a variety of factors, including a specific candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, working location, and projected impact. The total compensation package for this role may also include: equity compensation; discretionary annual or performance bonuses; sales incentives; benefits such as medical, dental and vision insurance; paid time off; and more.
