The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, and accounting processes. This role requires a proactive approach in handling day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing accurate financial insights to support business decisions.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting principles.
Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
Prepare budgets and forecasts, collaborating with department heads to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
Assist in the preparation of tax filings and compliance.
Mentor and train junior accounting staff as needed.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
10+ years of accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on financial reporting.
CPA certification is preferred.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
