This is a full-time, direct placement role at PSA Architects.
Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated, licensed Architect with a minimum of 5 years of experience. Architect Job Responsibilities:
· Understand and implement brand design intent and project guidelines.
· Apply knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction practices to ensure compliance.
· Develop preliminary architectural plans, layouts, and designs.
· Research and analyze project requirements, and generate creative architectural solutions tailored to client needs.
· Coordinate and integrate architectural elements with engineering and other design disciplines to deliver unified designs.
· Use computer-assisted design (CAD) software to prepare conceptual, schematic, and construction documents (primarily AutoCAD).
· Assist in the preparation of design development and detailed design documents, including interior details, millwork, and ceiling plans.
· Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and the Director of Architecture to ensure project deliverables are on time and meet quality standards.
· Participate in site verification and field assessments as necessary.
· Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff and assist in the preparation of presentations, renderings, and reports.
· Maintain strong communication with clients and internal teams to ensure designs meet expectations and project goals.
Architect Qualifications/Skills:
· Ability to create elegant, functional, and effective design solutions.
· Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
· Expertise in architectural design and detailing across a range of project types, including commercial, hospitality, retail, and office spaces.
· Knowledge of interior materials, finishes, and space planning, including floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, interior elevations, and details.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and design tools such as SketchUp, Enscape, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
· High attention to detail and accuracy in project deliverables.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
· Strong problem-solving skills and a creative, open-minded approach to design challenges.
· Comfortable working under pressure and adapting to evolving project needs and timelines.

Requirements
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
· Minimum of 5 years of architectural experience, preferably within commercial, hospitality, office, or retail sectors.
· Licensed Architect (LEED accreditation a plus).
· Extensive knowledge of building systems, construction techniques, and materials.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other architectural software.
· A strong understanding of local building codes, zoning regulations, and the design and construction process.

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across disciplines and manage relationships with clients, contractors, and vendors.
