Software Engineer (Frontend)

We are looking for an experienced Frontend Engineer and team player to join one of our multicultural Engineering teams, focusing on our Third Party Risk Management business. 

As a Software Engineer II, you are known for thinking on your feet, learning quickly, and owning a problem to resolution. You enjoy solving complex problems while contributing with new ideas and techniques, leading to continuous improvement for the team. You enjoy close collaboration to find better ways to deliver great quality software in a high-trust Engineering culture. 

Apart from domain skills, what we truly value are strong generalists: those with the critical thinking skills to use a variety of technologies & languages and pick up new concepts when needed. We deliver well-tested, high-quality code in a continuous delivery environment.

Requirements:

  • Curious and with a growth mindset. Have a passion for continuous learning, seeking out opportunities to expand your knowledge, and stretching yourself and others to achieve goals.

  • Two (2) years of experience as a Software Engineer, and experience building customer facing products as part of an engineering team.

  • Solid understanding of the frontend development lifecycle from planning to testing and deployment.

  • Solid understanding of modern Javascript (ES6+) and experience with at least one modern web framework (Angular 2+, React, Vue, Svelte, etc.).

  • Experience with CI/CD (e.g. Jenkins) and container technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Responsible, team-oriented, and well-organized.

  • Results driven. You don’t want to just write code, you want to ship code that is loved by customers.

  • Excellent communication skills in English - both written and spoken.

Preferred:

  • Experience with React.

  • Experience improving front end performance using technologies such as server side rendering, code splitting, lazy loading, etc.

  • Experience with middleware frameworks such as Nodejs, FastAPI/Flask, Django, PHP, or Ruby on Rails.

  • Able to own well defined features from technical design through completion, and deliver on commitments.
