About the Position

As a People Operations Intern at CentML, you will gain hands-on experience in onboarding, policy development, internship program management, and employer branding. This internship is ideal for someone passionate about HR operations, employee experience, and organizational development in a high-growth, tech-driven environment. This is an internship position with the possibility of converting to full-time.


This hybrid opportunity is based in CentML’s Downtown Toronto office, the team is in the office Tuesday-Thursday. Business requirements may require office attendance for 5 days/week in the office for extended periods.


What you’ll do


Onboarding & Employee Experience

- Assist in revamping the onboarding process to ensure a smooth and engaging experience for new hires.

- Work on automating onboarding tasks, including documentation, training schedules, and welcome kits.

- Conduct feedback sessions with new employees to improve onboarding effectiveness.

- Support managers in developing role-specific onboarding guides.


HR Policies & Documentation

- Help update and organize company policies, ensuring clarity and accessibility for employees.

- Research best practices to improve remote/hybrid work policies, and employee engagement frameworks.

- Maintain an internal HR knowledge base to streamline access to policies and processes.


Internship Program Management

- Assist in structuring and enhancing CentML’s internship program to attract top talent.

- Coordinate with teams to define clear projects and learning objectives for interns.

- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and performance tracking of interns.

- Plan and execute internship networking events 


Employer Branding & Value Proposition

- Collaborate on the development of an Employer Value Proposition (EVP) deck to showcase CentML’s culture and growth opportunities.

- Help create HR communication materials, including career pages, social media content, and company presentations.

- Support initiatives that enhance CentML’s brand as an employer of choice in the AI/ML space.




What you’ll need to be successful
  • A student or recent graduate in HR, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Passionate about HR processes, employee experience, and organizational culture.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills—able to communicate effectively across different teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment and taking initiative.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace, Notion, and HR tools (a plus!).
