What You Will Be Doing

  • Working with Standards Development Organizations (SDO) to craft and direct standards documents for Electric Vehicle charging
  • Provide technical advice/support to the engineering teams within ChargePoint on Standards
  • Provide support to regulatory and policy teams within ChargePoint
  • Work with teams within ChargePoint to gain direction for the work on Standards
  • Working in EVSE and EV Charging and Safety (e.g. IEC 61851, ISO 5474, SAE J3400, UL)
  • Working in EVSE Metrology (e.g. EN 50470 series, Eichrecht)
  • Working in CSMS-EVSE-EV Communication (e.g. OCPP, ISO 15118)
  • Working in Cybersecurity and PKI EcoSystem Communication (e.g. EVPKI, OPNC)
  • Working in community groups (e.g. CharIN MCS and Infrastructure, EVPKI)
  • Performing Conformance and Interoperability tests together with other ChargePoint Teams

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

  • Broad knowledge of Electric Vehicle charging systems and Standards
  • Proven ability to work with SDOs
  • Familiarity with one or more of:
    • AC/DC power systems
    • Low and mid-voltage safety
    • Grid connectivity and conventions
    • PKI, certificates, and security.
    • Embedded and Cloud architecture and technologies

Requirements

 

  • 5+ years of experience in hardware and embedded development
  • 3+ years of experience working with SDOs
  • 3+ years of experience in Electrical Vehicle charging
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
  • Knowledge of EV charging domain and standards
  • Willing to participate in conference calls during non-standard hours due to time zone differences
  • Willing and able to travel globally

Location

Campbell, CA

ChargePoint is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $70,000 to $188,000. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits or variable pay where applicable. Actual base salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications and specific work location.
