Staff Writer (Internal)

Overview

FedWriters is building a team to support NAVSEA's communications and public affairs operations at the Washington Navy Yard. As a Staff Writer (Internal) you will create feature articles, news products, and editorial content specifically for the NAVSEA workforce located at the Washington Navy Yard and facilities worldwide.

Work Schedule and Location:

On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm at the Washington Navy Yard, 1333 Isaac Hull Avenue, Washington, DC. 

Responsibilities

 

  • Create engaging feature articles, news stories, and internal communications for the NAVSEA workforce
  • Develop leadership messages, employee profiles, newsletter content, and email announcements
  • Consult with subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy in all communications

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications;

  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in communications or a related field
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or related field
  • Secret level security clearance required
