With the rapid expansion of the Aviation team, we need a QA Engineer to help ensure that every release meets Flock's high quality and reliability standards. In this role, you will be a vital part of the QA team, identifying and isolating issues across our platform — while also developing and maintaining thorough test plans and optimizing our end-to-end testing processes.
Proficient in identifying and diagnosing defects across various system components, including WebRTC (Rust), Backend (Ruby), and Frontend (Typescript), providing comprehensive bug reports and actionable insights.
Experienced in developing and executing regression test plans, creating and maintaining test cases for new features, and ensuring the ongoing validity of existing test suites.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with other QA engineers to coordinate the release of major features across multiple platforms (Platform, Mobile, Ground App).
Skilled in developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting E2E tests, adapting and fixing tests as needed to accommodate production code changes and ensure test reliability.
Committed to continuously improving testing processes and frameworks, proactively addressing flaky or broken tests and optimizing test coverage.

The First 30 Days
Learn about the platform through means of exploratory, functional, and regression testing.
Update and/or create test cases for upcoming integration release.
The First 60 Days
Investigate use of automated tests in other areas of the platform.
Improve Platform E2E tests.
90 Days & Beyond
Review the product spec for an upcoming feature.
Identify and implement missing E2E tests for current untouched systems building a culture of continuous improvement.

The Technical Assessment: Our technical assessments seek to test the hard skills required to do the job. Engineers may find themselves in coding interviews or architecture discussions, sales roles may present mock discovery calls, and leadership roles may craft 90 day plans. Your recruiter will inform you of which assessment you will be assigned and ensure you are fully prepared for your big day.
The Panel: Learn more about the team, responsibilities, and workflows. You should be prepared to speak about past projects, how you collaborate and communicate with others, and how you live our values. Depending on the team and role you are interviewing for, you may meet with several teammates as well as cross-functional partners.
The Executive Review: A chance to meet an executive and view Flock from a different lens. Be prepared to ask well-thought-out questions about the company, culture, and more.
In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary between $112,000-$154,000 as well as Flock Safety Stock Options.
