Projects Coordinator - Catholic Social Thought and Public Life

Requirements

The Projects Coordinator (PC) is essential to the effective and efficient administration and operations of the Initiative on Catholic Social Thought and Public Life at Georgetown University and to the support and execution of its mission. The PC carries out key tasks in implementing the Initiative’s mission, programs, and activities under the supervision of the Assistant Director. They primarily support the Initiative’s Assistant Director by providing vital administrative support to the Initiative team, and support the running of the Initiative’s office. The incumbent oversees financial administration, office management and administration, event planning and management, and communications.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with the Initiative's finances, including following the steps and guidelines of the Georgetown procurement process.

  • Reconcile all expenses for the Initiative, maintaining source documentation for all transactions.

  • Support the Initiative team in planning, coordinating, executing, and following through on the Initiative’s programs and events.

  • Support outreach efforts within the Georgetown community, broader outreach efforts, and communications for the Initiative on all of its activities.  

Work Interactions

The PC reports to the Initiative’s Assistant Director and works closely with the Initiative’s other team members.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Knowledge of and commitment to Catholic social thought

  • High degree of organizational and administrative ability and project management skills

  • Detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a complex, fast-paced environment

  • Experience and capacity to deal with financial and administrative matters with strong written and verbal communications skills

  • Experience with event management and proven skills in time management, organization, and communication

  • Self-starter disposition with ability to take the initiative and work independently on projects and ability to exercise discretion and maintain grace under pressure

  • Ability to manage many tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines efficiently

  • Experience working with vendors and partners from a variety of background

  • Proactive and team-spirited disposition, with ability to consult and make decision

  • Collaborative work style and ability to receive feedback with a willingness to respond to an evolving set of priorities

  • Expertise in programs within Google Suite

  • 2-4 years of professional or management experience in related area and working knowledge of Airtable and Mailchimp preferred

Work Mode Designation

This position has been designated as Hybrid 1 day. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University.  Such review may necessitate a change to a position’s mode of work designation. Pay Range:

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:

$44,022.00 - $73,406.80

Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
