Students examine their current portfolio of work and create supplemental graphic design pieces based in motion to enhance their portfolio. Students examine how to construct a demo reel and apply those concepts to the creation of their own demo reel.What You Will Do:• Facilitate weekly main discussion forums to engage students in the online classroom• Adhere to weekly grading requirements, deadlines, and timeframes• Respond to students’ questions and emails within the established timeframes• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon UniversityWhat You Will Bring:• Preferred: Master’s degree AND• 3 or more years’ experience in the design industry• Minimum: bachelor’s degree in animation, motion graphics, 3D modeling, graphic design, advertising, or an equivalent degree in the visual arts• Skills in the following are required: 12 Principles of Animation, understanding of graphic design and how it relates to motion graphics, motion graphics trends, motion production pipeline, strong ability to give pointed feedback, understanding of typography and its use in motion, manipulation and editing of sound files, story arc, color theory, how to understand requirements of a creative brief for motion graphics, understanding of personal brand development, and understanding of industry expectations for motion graphics portfolios. Ability to mentor students in the development and production of capstone-level projects.
