We are looking for a Lead Teacher to join our Shelburne team, where you'll be supported by a school director with several years of leadership experience. Our community thrives on shared values of team spirit, passion, and continuous learning.

Competitive pay range: $20-$23.50+/hour

A TYPICAL DAY LOOKS LIKE:
  • Manage classroom daily needs to support your students' health and well-being.
  • Communicate with families and caregivers both in-person and digitally.
  • Cultivate a love of learning by applying our child-centered approach, integrating social-emotional learning, STEAM, and nature-based education. 


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Demonstrate kindness and respect for self, others, and our community at-large.
  • Skilled in play-based learning approaches and social-emotional education.
  • Deliver required paperwork and completed lesson plans on time.
  • Must pass required state and company background checks.


REQUIREMENTS:
  • Comply with all VT Public Health and Child Care Regulations.
  • Meet at least one of the following qualifications:
  • Vermont Early Childhood Career Ladder Level 1 or 2 Certificate;
  • Current CDA (Child Development Associate) plus 12 months of experience with children in grade three or younger;
  • State Board of Education approved Human Services Program Certificate focusing on child development or early childhood education, plus 12 months of experience with children in grade three or younger;
  • Completion of the Fundamentals for Early Childhood Professionals course or Vermont Afterschool Essentials Certificate, plus 12 months of experience with children in grade three or younger;
  • Completion of a 3-credit college course in child or human development or school-age care and education, plus 12 months of experience with children in grade three or younger.
  • Pass the state-required background check.
  • Serve as a mandated reporter, on and off campus.
  • Ensure classroom environments meet NAEYC’s Anti-Bias Early Education standards.
  • Ability to stand, move, run, and play throughout the day.
  • Lift up to 30 pounds multiple times daily.


$20 - $23.50 an hour
$2,000 Sign-On Bonus will be paid out:
30% upon the first pay period following your 90th day of employment ($600).
70% upon the first pay period following your 180th day of consecutive employment ($1,400).
