Product Marketing Manager

Our Journey at Keep

At Keep, we embarked on a mission with a powerful question: Why hasn't the banking experience caught up with the rapid pace of technology?

This continues to fuel our passion for reshaping the Canadian fintech landscape. We provide businesses with a comprehensive suite of cross-border banking services, offering everything from credit cards to deposit accounts, currency conversions, and revenue financing.

With a team of seasoned global startup veterans with successful exits, Keep is committed to leading the charge as Canada's next-generation fintech institution. Backed by VCs in the fintech sector, we're racing ahead, expanding our reach and impact like never before.

About the Role:

Join Keep as a Product Marketing Manager, where your strategic thinking and customer insights will be key to refining our market positioning and driving product adoption. You'll lead rigorous testing, experimentation, and analysis to shape our product narrative, optimize customer engagement, and help our solutions resonate in the evolving fintech landscape.

Beyond execution, this role demands strong leadership. You'll collaborate across departments to ensure our products meet market needs and our messaging effectively communicates value. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing go-to-market strategies, refining positioning, and translating product capabilities into compelling customer benefits.

  • Developing comprehensive product marketing strategies that align with our business goals and customer needs

  • Deeply understanding our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and leveraging these insights to refine our product messaging and positioning

  • Creating compelling product narratives and value propositions that resonate with target audiences

  • Conducting competitive analysis and market research to identify opportunities and inform product positioning

  • Collaborating with product teams to ensure marketing input is incorporated throughout the product development lifecycle

  • Leading cross-functional go-to-market strategies for new product launches and updates

  • Planning and executing demand generation events including tradeshows, webinars, and industry conferences to showcase our products

  • Writing creative briefs that clearly articulate messaging objectives, audience insights, and key differentiators

  • Developing sales enablement materials and training to ensure effective product communication

  • Gathering customer feedback to inform product messaging refinements and feature prioritization

  • Staying ahead of industry trends and applying best practices from top-tier product marketing organizations

Who You Are:

  • You have extensive experience in product marketing, ideally within the financial services or fintech industry

  • You have a deep understanding of ICP development, customer journey mapping, and value proposition creation

  • You excel at translating technical capabilities into compelling customer benefits

  • You know how to develop strategic messaging frameworks that differentiate products in competitive markets

  • You're comfortable conducting customer research and applying insights to refine product positioning

  • You have strong cross-functional collaboration skills, particularly with product development teams

  • You have experience developing go-to-market strategies for new product launches

  • You have planned and executed successful demand generation events such as tradeshows, webinars, or industry conferences

  • You possess excellent communication skills and can adapt messaging for different audiences and channels

  • You're data-driven and able to measure the impact of product marketing initiatives

Why You Should be Excited About This Role:

  • Shape Product Strategy: As a key figure in our marketing department, you'll influence product development and positioning, ensuring our solutions address real market needs.

  • Make a Significant Impact: In the rapidly changing fintech landscape, your role is crucial to communicating our product value, directly influencing our company's success and customer adoption.

  • Professional Growth: Thrive in a dynamic startup environment that values creativity and innovation, offering you rapid professional development and the chance to become a pivotal player in the product marketing realm.

  • Set Industry Standards: Your expertise in product positioning and messaging will help establish Keep as a leader in the fintech industry.

Why Join Keep?

  • We're obsessed with investing in data-driven solutions and cutting-edge technologies.

  • Be a part of a team that's rewriting the playbook for the Canadian fintech industry.

  • Help shape products that truly address customer needs in the financial services space.

  • Embrace a fully inclusive and remote-friendly company culture that values diversity and work-life balance.

  • Help us bring modern banking solutions to businesses, reshaping the banking experience for our customers.

Why This Might Not Be a Good Fit:

  • If you're a stickler for a highly structured environment with constant hand-holding, you might find our culture of autonomy and trust a bit different.

  • If you're more of a slow-and-steady-wins-the-race kind of person, our fast-paced, dynamic environment might be a bit of a rollercoaster.

  • Given the nature of our industry and our rapid growth, ambiguity and uncertainty are all part of the ride. If you prefer clear-cut structures or roles, you might find our dynamic environment a bit too adventurous.

  • Collaboration is the heartbeat of Keep, and if you prefer to work in your own little bubble without engaging with the wider team, you might find our approach to teamwork a tad unconventional.

What's the Interview Process Like?

  • Initial People Screening to understand your experience and ensure a cultural fit.

  • Call with Thomas, our amazing Ops Lead

  • Get on a call with Oliver, our CEO, and Co-Founder of Keep

  • Dive into an Exercise and Presentation, where you'll showcase your skills through a comprehensive project.
