About the role
In person 5 days/week in San Francisco
We’re looking to add an experienced Product Designer to the LangSmith team. This person will be responsible for driving the design of new product features, ensuring a top-tier developer experience for our global community of tens of thousands of users.
Develop a deep understanding of LangSmith’s platform, UI, and customer needs to influence product direction
Engage directly with customers to gather feedback, understand their needs, and ensure their input shapes the evolution of LangSmith’s user experience
Work closely with engineering and peer designers to deliver polished, user-centric product features
Continually improve on LangSmith’s existing UI surfaces for more intuitive user experiences
How to be successful in this role
5+ years of design experience focused on developer tools, infrastructure, data, or AI products
Understand and have mastered the theory and fundamentals of UX and UI design and how to put them into practice. You can competently create layouts, mockups and prototypes
Have a solid understanding of interaction design and efficiently and creatively solve difficult or complex interaction design challenges
Always base your decisions on solid visual design principles and are proficient in using the right tool for the job
Are able to visualize complex data in an intuitive and delightful way
Have independently and collaboratively conducted design-validation activities with internal and external customers, integrating user feedback techniques appropriately
Consistently consider the holistic user experience and are able to think through end-end customer journeys using appropriate methodology
Seek out the information and feedback required to get tasks done. You reliably own and complete well defined tasks to a high quality and seek help where needed in a timely manner
Have worked closely with engineering teams to ensure implementation is of a high standard and quality
Can thrive in a fast-moving environment. Views unstructured environments as an opportunity to figure out the most impactful work and define the future success of the company
Compensation & Benefits
Annual salary range: $150,000 - $175,000 USD. Commensurate with experience.
