Learning & Development Coordinator

Mead & Hunt, an award-winning national architecture and engineering firm, is seeking a highly organized and motivated full-time Learning & Development Coordinator to work with our L&D team to create, coordinate, and implement learning programs and solutions companywide. You will work within our LMS environment to create and assign training that helps employees meet compliance needs and learn/develop skills. In-person training programs will need your skills to organize and coordinate onsite logistics. Working within our L&D team and HR department, you will assist in the design of programs, leading projects to create and deliver learning programs that meet company objectives. This opportunity is available at either our Middleton, WI or Chicago, IL office location.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

Deliverables 

  • Supporting course creation and its implementation in our learning management system (LMS)
  • Creating, revising, and deploying training-related documents and presentations 
  • Help identifying, analyzing, and determining solutions to meet capability gaps 
  • Creating initial project scope documents for outsourced work to meet learning objectives 
  • Anticipating and resolving project/program issues, escalating as appropriate 
  • Sharing business metrics, interpretations, and solutions with L&D and HR teams 

 

Client Management 

  • Participating regularly in project and process teams 
  • Creating and deploying pre- and post-training assessments and feedback surveys 
  • Consulting across Mead & Hunt learning community for alignment between training plans and business plan, strategic plan, and compliance 
  • Guiding SMEs to think about the most efficient and effective way to deliver training interventions that are meaningful, useful, and relevant to their roles 
  • Collaborating with SMEs to create presentations and learning materials 
  • Gathering data to support training curriculum and programs 

 

Curiculum and Deployment in the Learning Management System 

  • Identifying target audience for specific learning interventions
  • Partnering with L&D teammates for effective and timely implementation of learning interventions 
  • Identifying accuracy and appropriateness of courses and curriculum in the LMS 
  • Troubleshooting curriculum architecture and assignment issues in the LMS 
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements that benefit the L&D function efficiency 

 

Some occasional travel may be required.

 

The successful candidate must have all the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in communications, psychology, education, human resources or related field from an accredited college or university
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Must have MS Office experience

 

The ideal candidate will have any and/or all the following:

  • Experience with learning and development or training
  • Experience planning and delivering events/programs 
  • Experience with LMS software 
  • Strong communication skills: written, verbal and active listening 
  • Strong collaboration with colleagues: ability to work with and through others 
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills to evaluate and resolve issues independently 
  • Goal and solution focused, demonstrated both a bias for action and focus on results

Salary Range: $63,000 to $75,000 - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
