An iconic Cape May resort hotel, The Montreal Beach Resort remains a favorite destination for beachgoers to the Jersey shore – and has been for over 55 years.


Come join a fun team with a fun culture while working in the beautiful Cape May environment! The property currently consists of our hotel, which boasts 70+ hotel rooms, a locally favorite restaurant, Harry's Ocean Bar & Grill, and of course beach service. The resort is also proud to have Cape May’s only oceanfront liquor store – The Wine Cellar at Harry’s. The Montreal Beach Resort has recently been acquired by Madison Resorts, with plans to offer a complete renovation to this already beautiful property.

Summary:

The role of the Server is to provide fast and flawless service to our guests. In addition, the server needs to provide a positive memorable experience to our guests.


Responsibilities:

  • Know, understand, and adhere to company established policies and procedures.
  • Ensures guest interactions are always positive. Smiles with every guest.
  • It is the server’s responsibility to confirm their schedule with MOD one week in advance
  • Be knowledgeable, know all products and special instructions per manager on duty
  • Ring In all drinks before serving. “Ring It Before You Bring It” It is NJ State Law
  • Wear proper uniform, clean & pressed.
  • Any liquor, beer or wine “LBW” exchanged must be recorded on the transfer sheet at Harry’s, alerting the MOD.
  • Restock all necessary items needed for service and or event before during and after scheduled shift
  • Review all paperwork from manager, paying attention to special arrangements/details/counts
  • Monitor Consumption Sheet and turn into MOD at end of shift
  • Communicate with MOD on inventory needs
  • Assist team members through efficient service at all times
  • Keep all service areas including kitchen area in sanitary condition in accordance with Board of Health Standards. See MOD for specifications and/or special instructions
  • Ending shift with MOD approval
  • Provide quality service to all patrons by greeting them promptly and professionally in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Be knowledgeable of beverage specials both liquor and soft drinks. Must have extensive knowledge of menu, daily features, promotional offering and be able to effectively convey overall knowledge of property events and locations.
  • To know and adhere to ABC laws and regulations connected to any service of alcoholic beverages
  • Place all orders promptly and accurately through the POS system
  • Coordinate pickup and delivery of food and beverage
  • Remove Replace Replenish Restock all required items
  • Prepare guest check and collect payment
  • Proper verbiage, good judgment and tasteful conversation must be used at all times
  • Set up any reservation/event etc., as directed by supervisor or MOD on duty
  • Attend pre shift in order to execute all points of service and/or special assignments or instructions
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Serving experience preferred.
