To provide engineering decision-making abilities for the development and maintenance of the Gas Transmission network, ensuring assets meet regulatory, statutory and customer requirements whilst maximizing shareholder value.
Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to obtain and share information that will benefit National Grid.
Undertake specific tasks of varying complexity in order to support colleagues in the design of technical solutions.
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university required.
Knowledge of federal and state regulations as related to natural gas systems preferred.
Fundamentals of Engineering preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years experience in an engineering field related to natural gas systems, engineering, and / or operations and maintenance.
Proficient with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.).
Familiarity with Maximo, ArcGIS, SAP, Microsoft Project, PowerPlan, and/or other similar software tools.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
Able to travel throughout service territories and willing to work extended hours when the job requires. That might include, but is not limited to, system emergencies (storm duties). Traveling to other company locations, throughout New England and Upstate NY, for various meetings and training.
Salary
$118k - $139k a year
