About the role 

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business System Consultant/Product Manager with a deep understanding of the Cards and Payment domain specifically ISO8583 messaging. The candidate should possess strong  leadership skills, domain expertise, and a track record of successfully leading and delivering complex payment solutions and Schemes (Visa,Mastercard,Pulse,Discover,Fiserv,Elan etc) compliance mandates. As a Business System Consultant/Product Manager in the Cards/Payment domain, he will guide a talented team of developers, and SDET's to build payment systems that ensure seamless and secure transactions.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years’ experience in a Product Manager or Business System Consulting role 

  • Subject matter Expert of payment processing protocols (e.g., ISO 8583), EMV standards, card schemes (e.g., Visa, Mastercard), and PCI-DSS, PCI-PIN, PCI-PTS compliance.

  • Possess a deep understanding of the POS payment domain, including EMV standards, payment processing protocols, card schemes, and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS).

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies in the payment ecosystem.

  • Subject matter Expert of payment processing protocols (e.g., ISO 8583), EMV standards, card schemes (e.g., Visa, Mastercard), and PCI-DSS, PCI-PIN, PCI-PTS compliance.

  • Must know or have worked with Visa, and MasterCard technical specifications and complete knowledge of their data element definition and Message flows.

  • Strong knowledge of cryptography functions used in the payment industry (e.g., 3DES, AES, RSA, ECC).

  • Strong knowledge of contactless payments, and NFC.

  • Proficient in writing sql queries to troubleshoot and fetch data when needed.

  • Communication skills, with experience communicating and liaising with both internal and external stakeholders(Visa,MC etc)

  • Ability to work in a cross functional environment and lead cross functional discussions

  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence [and other dev tools]

  • Skill in creating and refining user stories from epics as well as identifying functional and nonfunctional requirements from the stories

  • Management of the requirements and effective communication to the development team

  • Comfortable with languages such as XML, ISO8583, Json, SQL,Java

  • Maintain a high degree of professional competence in the area of Card Payments,Prepaid Domain and handling the Association(MasterCard,Visa,Pulse,Fiserv) compliance mandates independently.

  • Proficient in creating and fetching data from Log aggregator tools like Splunk,Graffana etc
