With €24 million raised in our Series B financing, we’re dedicated to making skilled blue-collar work attractive, and driving a more sustainable future.

🙌 Job Mission

As a Staff Mobile Software Engineer, you’ll provide technical leadership in the development of our mobile applications. We currently have a simple wrapped web application that runs across both platforms, and we plan to invest significantly in this area — both in underlying app platform components (e.g., push notifications) and UI rendering.

You’ll understand and be across the state-of-the-art in cross-platform frameworks and recommend and implement the right technologies to balance development efficiency with performance. You’ll coordinate and organise the work of a growing team of mobile-focused engineers. You’ll bring extensive expertise in mobile application operations and release management, advising on best practices in monitoring, performance, app store QA, and release.

🎯 What You’ll Do

  • Lead the technical development and roadmap of our mobile applications.

  • Break new ground by recommending and implementing the right cross-platform frameworks to balance development velocity with application performance.

  • Lead discussions and decision-making around the adoption of new technologies for our mobile applications.

  • Consistently apply both technical breadth and product and business awareness in your work.

  • Take an active role in future mobile hiring by contributing to interviews and suggesting improvements to our processes, question banks, and assessment methods.

  • Provide technical coaching and mentoring to engineers at all levels.

🌟 What We’re Looking For

  • Multiple years of experience in a Senior or Staff position, ideally with expertise in building new cross-platform mobile applications end-to-end.

  • A strong track record in mobile development, including UI and feature development as well as underlying platform components.

  • Experience with iOS and Android QA and release operations, and the ability to help operations teams establish effective processes.

  • Advanced analytical thinking skills.

  • A subject matter expert who is self-motivated, capable of creating and executing roadmaps, and able to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.

  • Fluent English language skills are essential.

💪 What We Offer

  • A competitive compensation package, including Employee Stock Options.

  • Flexibility to work remotely or from our office in Berlin.

  • 30 days of vacation to ensure you have time to recharge.

  • An annual budget for L&D via Udemy to support your professional growth.

  • A mobility flat rate of €50/month for sharing services such as cars, scooters, and public transport (for employees based in Germany).

  • Discounts for Urban Sports Club or Gym Pass to keep you active and healthy (for employees based in Germany).

  • The opportunity to join an early-stage, fast-growing startup backed by Tier-1 investors.

  • The chance to make a significant impact on company strategy from day one and collaborate directly with the founders.

As an equal opportunity employer, we proudly welcome applications from people of all races, ethnicities, disability statuses, ages, religions, gender identities, and sexual orientations. We encourage you to apply even if you don't think you meet all of the criteria above but are still interested in the role and our mission. Nobody checks every box, and we're looking for team members who are genuinely excited to join PowerUs! We look forward to receiving your application!
