The Director, Learning Business Partners – Engineering, helps to create and implement data-driven learning strategies to boost performance across our engineering teams within ServiceNow’s Success, Technology, Experience, and Platform (STEP) Organization, supporting the Chief Product Officer / Chief Operating Officer. Working closely with leadership as a trusted partner, you will identify and evaluate priorities, address performance gaps, and enable impactful learning solutions aligned with company goals.
This role is pivotal in simplifying complexity, fostering growth, and driving success globally.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Partnership: Develop tailored strategies to address identified performance gaps, including specific objectives, development plans, and accountability measures.
Prioritization and accountability alignment: Identify clear success metrics, audience impact, and prioritize among other critical learning initiatives.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work across our corporate functions, people team, and Learning & Development ecosystem on learning initiatives.
Data analysis and reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends and support decision-making.
Cross-org Collaboration: Oversee learning programs from assessment to execution and impact measurement, working across learning and development teams.
Organization Readiness: Evaluate and assist in business readiness for enablement activities and activation.
Process improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize workflows and processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
Advocacy: Represent corporate learning needs across the business for continuous development investment.
To be successful in this role you have:
10+ years in learning or related field, preferably in high-growth environments with knowledge of engineering needs and workflow.
Executive Presence: Experience collaborating with senior leaders to drive business impact.
Strong analytical skills: Proficiency in collecting, interpreting, and synthesizing data to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
Systems thinking: Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills to understand connections and broader impacts.
AI Integration: Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI’s potential impact on the function or industry.
Communication skills: Effective communication skills to present findings, make recommendations, and influence diverse audiences. Skilled at building trust and credibility and engaging with senior leaders to drive initiatives aligned with key objectives.
Facilitation skills: Advanced mastery in engaging stakeholders at all levels of leadership, across various geographic regions, and diverse cultures to effectively support enablement activities and strategic initiatives.
Conflict resolution: Ability to mediate between business requirements and multiple stakeholders.
Change management expertise: Capability to manage the transition process when implementing new performance improvement initiatives. Prosci Advanced Practitioner Change Management Certification is preferred but not required.
Organizational development knowledge: Understanding of organizational structures, culture, and dynamics to tailor solutions appropriately.
Leadership and coaching skills: Ability to guide and motivate individuals to achieve our shared goals.
Technical aptitude: Familiarity with analytics tools (dashboards, impact metrics, etc.) to provide actionable insights that inform learning strategies.
The ability to travel as needed.
