As a Documentation Engineer II, you will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of documentation related to company products, processes, and training materials. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure that information is accurate, accessible, and effectively supports internal and external users.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Become a Storyblok and headless CMS authority, helping developers, partner agencies, and customers to understand Storyblok and its capabilities, implement a headless architecture on their projects easily, and get the best out of Storyblok’s features.
  • Help developers understand and get value out of Storyblok by creating and maintaining developer tutorials, developer guides, FAQ entries, and API documentation.
  • Write sample applications, prototypes, and code samples to showcase the power and flexibility of Storyblok and the headless approach to content management.
  • Helping teammates overcome obstacles, resolving blockers, and completing work tasks.
  • Seeking guidance to increase your own experience. Sometimes mentoring teammates in an open, respectful, flexible, and empathetic manner

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of experience in web development.
  • Proven experience in technical writing and documentation.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with CMS in general; experience with Headless CMS is a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge of consuming RESTful APIs. GraphQL APIs is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of at least one of the modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Vue, React, Next, Nuxt, Astro, or Svelte) along with its fundamental principles.
  • Working knowledge of Git.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Continuous learning mindset to stay updated on industry trends and best practices in documentation.
  • Ability to learn and document technical topics efficiently and comprehensively.
  • Ability to assume the users’ perspective to convey technical information clearly.
  • Ability to work independently with little direct supervision.
