Location:
New York, NYArchitectural Digest is seeking an Editor, AD PRO, for the premier daily resource for design professionals. The ideal candidate will have full, detailed knowledge of the people and business driving interior design, and strong insight into information critical to the global design industry. This role has a special focus on identifying and planning content that will develop into features, trend reports, and international coverage. Must have impeccable editorial judgment, a non-stop flow of original ideas, and a well-honed instinct to shape and edit content tailored to design professionals worldwide.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work closely with the digital director and editorial team to plan and execute big-idea editorial tentpoles and events, as well as trend reports and seasonal fair coverage; and to conceive, assign, edit, and write day-to-day content appearing on site, social, video, and newsletter to support KPIs. Build membership content including profile pages, job boards, and events calendars. Appear in video as needed.
Work closely with consumer and commercial revenue teams to grow awareness and membership leads, through strategic editorial programming and relationships in market, tapping into designers, trade groups, industry influencers, and others. Support ongoing designer outreach with membership specialists.
Support events, sales, and marketing efforts through activities such as event hosting, producing, promoting, and talent and audience development and engagement.
Participate in relevant PR and client events as needed, as a representative of AD.
Requirements:
5+ years related experience, with a demonstrated passion for home decor and the design industry.
Significant, deep involvement in the design industry, with robust, relevant contacts.
Must be a self-starter, highly organized and detail-oriented.
This is a guild position.
The expected base salary range for this position is from $80,000-$102,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
