Warehouse Associate

As a global leader in infrared sauna therapy, we are expanding our Warehouse team and looking for a hard-working and efficient Warehouse Associate to keep Sunlighten on our growth trajectory.

As a Warehouse Associate, you will play an essential role in the efficient operation of our warehouse. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately and efficiently process incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring that all products are properly stored, picked, and packaged for delivery. We are looking for someone to work our day shift hours.

For over 20 years, Sunlighten has been the leader in infrared saunas, which have been shown through clinical trials to help people feel better and achieve their health and wellness goals. Because the health and wellness industry is on pace to generate over 4 trillion dollars globally this year, Sunlighten continues to grow rapidly and we are expanding in new markets globally.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process incoming shipment trucks, record/check in merchandise & materials, mark appropriately, and check for damages
  • Sort, move, and place materials from receiving or storage areas to appropriate designated area
  • Accurately read and assemble customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions from stock and determine if items to be relocated to holding area, moved to the designated route driver storage area, distributed, and/or shipped
  • Match purchase orders to sales orders, and distribute to sales associates for processing
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies
  • Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other departments
  • Prepare parcels for mailing
  • Open bales, crates and other container
  • Keep warehouse clean and organized to ensure the safety and accessibility of routes for employees and customers
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday from 8AM-5PM- schedule/hours can be adjusted, if needed
  • Reliable transportation to our warehouse in Kansas City, KS

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Prior experience in a warehouse is a plus
  • Prior experience with a forklift and clamp truck is a plus

Skills/Abilities:

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Superior time-management skills
  • Thorough follow-through

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

Compensation:

$17/HR + the opportunity to participate in Sunlighten's Monthly Bonus Plan if goals/objectives are met
