The Department of Clinical Health Sciences is seeking an experienced Clinical Instructor to join our accredited program in Communication Sciences & Disorders at Texas A&M University-Kingsville.  We are located in sunny Kingsville, TX, home of the legendary King Ranch and Kingsville- Naval Air Station. Our South Texas location is near the Gulf coast – vacation destination, Corpus Christi area, with beaches, birding, and fishing. The Assistant/Associate Professor of Practice is for a 9-month non-tenure track position with summer teaching possible/optional. The successful applicant will be expected to supervise/instruct graduate student clinicians in the on-campus clinic and possibly some local community outreaches, teach courses in the undergraduate and/or graduate program in CSDO and provide service to the university and profession.

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • MS or MA in Communication Sciences & Disorders
  • Three years of experience post CCC
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Texas SLP Licensure or ability to obtain Texas Licensure
  • Supervisory experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AAC
  • Clinical experience with pediatric and/or adult dysphagia
  • Knowledge in voice disorders
  • Experience coordinating and managing graduate student externship placements

 

Rank (Assistant/Associate) will be determined upon review of credentials and qualifications.

Note: If transcripts are from an international institution, it is the responsibility of the prospective faculty member to have the transcripts translated and evaluated by an approved credential evaluator (AACRAO). Selected candidate must pass a pre-employment background investigation to be hired for this position.
