Project Manager for OSP Engineering

Utilities One is looking for a Project Manager for OSP Engineering to oversee fiber optic engineering projects. This role involves managing design, CAD, and permitting teams, ensuring deadlines are met, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders. The ideal candidate has strong project management skills, technical knowledge in fiber optic networks, and the ability to drive projects to completion. 

Responsibilities 

  • Oversee engineering and Permitting teams to ensure alignment, communication, and timely completion of projects;
  • Schedule and coordinate team activities throughout the project lifecycle;
  • Establish completion dates based on run rates and hold teams accountable;
  • Assess challenges, coordinate solutions, and escalate if needed;
  • Lead calls with internal teams and clients to assign deliverables and address issues;
  • Serve as a point of contact for client discussions, approvals, and issue resolution;
  • Ensure project scope adherence, prepare change orders, and track approvals; 
  • Align with construction teams on deliverables, permitting strategy, and project execution.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred;
  • At least 3 years of experience in project management within engineering operations;
  • Strong knowledge of engineering and permitting processes;
  • Proficiency in engineering and project management software;
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills;
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities;
  • PMP certification is a plus.
