Job Description

Purpose:

As part of the Global Coding Team (GCT), ensures the management of the MedDRA and WHODrug governance model of the Safety/ICSR Coding Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of Safety/ICSR Coding Team, both internal and outsourced.  
  • Management of departmental and/or organizational process improvement projects.
  • Management of departmental budgets and projects future financial and resource needs.
  • Management of Clinical Coding or Safety/ICSR coding workflow and training.
  • Accountable for Safety ICSR MedDRA and WHODrug governance, including upversioning, Standardized
            Queries, Coding Guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Accountable for the mitigation and resolution of Coding Management Committee inquiries and/or
           actions.

This role can be remote in the US.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with related health science background, BSN, BS, BS Pharm, PharmD or advanced degree.
  • 5-7 years related experience; 2 years should be in management of Clinical Coding or Safety/ICSR team.  
  • MedDRA and WHODrug coding experience required.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of MedDRA and WHODrug is required.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of medical and medication terminology is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in a people leader capacity is required.

  • This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs. ​
