As an Outbound Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for prospecting, engaging, and closing high-value business customers, ensuring that Cape’s corporate card and spend management platform reaches the businesses that need it most.

What you’ll do

• Develop & Execute Sales Strategy – Identify, target, and convert mid-market and SME businesses through proactive outbound sales efforts.

• Own the Full Sales Cycle – Manage deals from prospecting to close, building strong relationships with finance, operations, and leadership teams.

• Drive New Business Growth – Engage in high-volume outbound prospecting, book meetings with decision-makers, and convert leads into long-term customers.

• Build & Scale Strategic Partnerships – Identify and develop channel and referral partnerships to drive sustainable revenue growth.

• Deliver Compelling Sales Messaging – Position Cape as the leading solution for business spending and expense management, tailoring pitches to customer pain points.

• Achieve & Exceed Sales Targets – Consistently meet and exceed revenue goals, contributing to Cape’s expansion across Australia.

• Leverage Data & CRM Tools – Track pipeline performance in CRM (Salesforce preferred) and refine sales approaches based on real-time insights.

• Collaborate Across Teams – Work with Marketing, Product, and Revenue Operations to optimize outbound strategies and enhance sales effectiveness.

What you’ll need

• 5+ years of experience in outbound B2B sales, business development, or partnerships, ideally within fintech, SaaS, or financial services.

• Proven ability to exceed quotas, drive new business, and win high-value customers in a competitive market.

• Experience selling to finance and operations leaders in mid-market and SME businesses.

• Exceptional negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to engage decision-makers at all levels.

• Entrepreneurial mindset – a self-starter who thrives in a fast-moving, high-performance environment.

• Strong business acumen – ability to understand financial products and position Cape as a game-changing solution.

• Comfort with CRM and sales automation tools (Salesforce, Outreach, HubSpot, SalesLoft).
