Accounting AssistantJob Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to support our finance team with daily accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This role involves processing transactions, maintaining financial records, and assisting with reporting and reconciliation.Key Responsibilities:Assist with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processingPrepare and process invoices, expense reports, and payment transactionsReconcile bank statements and financial records to ensure accuracyAssist in preparing financial reports and maintaining accounting ledgersSupport payroll processing and employee expense reimbursementsMaintain accurate records in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, etc.)Assist with tax filings, audits, and compliance reporting as neededRespond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding billing and paymentsOrganize and maintain financial documents and recordsPerform administrative tasks to support the accounting departmentQualifications:Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)1-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferredProficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, etc.)Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent organizational and time management abilitiesStrong communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholdersPreferred Qualifications:Experience in a corporate or small business accounting environmentKnowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principlesFamiliarity with ERP systems and financial reporting toolsEEO/AA Employer/Vet/Disabled.The Know Your Rights poster is available here:https://www.eeoc.gov/sites/default/files/2023-06/22-088_EEOC_KnowYourRights6.12.pdfThe pay transparency policy is available here:https://www.dol.gov/sites/dolgov/files/ofccp/pdf/pay-transp_%20English_formattedESQA508c.pdfFor temporary assignments lasting 13 weeks or longer, the Company is pleased to offer major medical, dental, vision, 401k and any statutory sick pay where required.We are committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities.
