Product Lead

About Us

Console gives IT (& HR, security, finance) teams trainable AI agents that can handle support requests directly in Slack, without needing a human-in-the-loop. Today, Console can automate 45-60% of the work that a tier 1 IT support agent would otherwise have to do, including things like: managing app access, password/MFA resets, laptop troubleshooting, IT Q&A, onboarding/offboarding, and more.

You can think of Console as the control plane for your entire organization. It plugs into all of your systems, understands all of your corporate policies & rules, and has the permissions to unblock employees in real time. To start, we work with IT teams, but quickly expand into the rest of the organization after they see the value that IT is getting out of Console. Over time, every department uses Console as part of their daily workflow.

Other reasons to join Console:

  • Product market fit: while still early, we're seeing incredible pull from our early customers (Calendly, Bloomerang, and many others). Now is the perfect time to join: right at takeoff

  • Massive market with slow-moving incumbents: we've won every head-to-head sale with all of our competitors. It's clear we have the best product in this very noisy space.

  • Well funded by Thrive Capital (investors in OpenAI, Cursor, Stripe, etc), SV Angel, Jack Altman, and other Tier 1 Startup founders

  • World-class team: our founders are second-time founders, and the entire team is made up of ex-founders and ex-startup engineers

  • Compensation: we pay in the top 10% of early stage startups in SF

About the role

We're looking for a product lead to own the roadmap and help us redefine the way all internal ops work is done in the enterprise. We are looking for someone that can see the forest and the trees, able to get in the weeds and understand whether something should be a textbox or a dropdown, while still able to discuss strategy and positioning with the founders.

The ideal candidate is willing to do what it takes to deeply understand the customer, relate to their pain, and translate that into product specs that solve their problems in a way that they didn't think was possible. We are constantly pushing the boundaries of how AI can be used, and defining new patterns that make intuitive sense, rather than just doing what other AI startups are doing.

You thrive in ambiguous environments, and will opt to talk to customers directly when you are faced with a problem you can't solve. You are self-directed and aren't afraid to maintain strong opinions when disagreements occur.

This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We prefer working in-person and offer relocation assistance to new employees.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of product experience, with at least 2 of those years at early stage startups

  • Have founded, or been very early at, a startup or project (first 10 hires)

  • Have an exceptionally high quality bar that is reflected in previous products you have built

  • Strong interest in working directly with customers, deploying Console, teaching them how to use AI, and using that to guide product direction

  • Are able to quickly get up to speed on new subjects using first principles and come up with unique / ideal solutions

  • Willing to do non-traditional product work: writing docs, content and working on messaging, doing sales, and writing code if needed, ultimately realizing that this work often drives better product decisions

Benefits

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance

  • Unlimited PTO

  • 401(k)

  • Lunch provided daily in office

  • Career growth opportunities within a fast-growing AI company
