If you are a Design Engineer professional seeking an opportunity to grow, Copeland in Sidney, OH has an exciting opportunity for you! We are looking for an experienced and motivated Lead Design Engineer to join our Commercial/Residential Air Conditioning Group. As a Lead Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in handling New Product Design (NPD) projects, leading project teams, mentoring team members, developing design concepts, crafting 3D models and 2D drawings, as well as performing analysis to qualify designs. Additionally, you will supply the development of next-generation design technology, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and play a key role in building a world-leading design team. We are looking for a candidate with outstanding communication and collaboration skills, strong technical and analytical abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and as a team leader.
Flexible Work Schedule – Hybrid Work Option and Core Hours
This role has the flexibility of a hybrid work from home option up to two days a week and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of our customers.
Our facility is located in Sidney, OH, conveniently located within driving distance to several larger cities, such as Dayton, Troy, and Columbus. The area’s generally low costs of living, excellent school systems, and low crime rates create a family-friendly environment. The area is home to several growing communities with restaurants, festivals, shopping, and arts scenes that make them exciting places to live and work.
Our newly renovated Sidney campus has 1M square feet of manufacturing floor with an additional 120k square feet of leading-edge lab facilities. This location is the headquarters for our HVACR Americas business unit. Through our many years of compressor expertise, our products help bring comfort and convenience to refrigeration, commercial, industrial, and residential spaces. Approximately 1600 employees work in Sidney, who all support a multitude of business functions.
