Job Description

The EHS Manager coordinates implementation of the site EHS plan in accordance with company policies and procedures; provides information to the Project Director/Manager, Construction Manager and Superintendents regarding best safety practices and company health and safety plan. This role also provides safety practices and policy training to appropriate site personnel.

This position requires the candidate to be present on the job site during the weekdays.

Responsibilities

  • Work with senior management to ensure organization’s OSHA compliance
  • Implement OSHA programs
  • Manage emergency response incidents
  • Implement corrective actions
  • Conduct or lead training in applicable OSHA areas
  • Evaluate programs and issue recommendations and implement change
  • Implementation of the site EHS plan in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Provides safety practices and policy training to appropriate site personnel

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Occupational Safety, Health, and/or Environmental from an accredited college or university required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience

Additional Qualifications

  • ASP, CSP, CIH, CFPS, or CHMM certification highly preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, tact, and diplomacy when working with individuals at all organizational levels, from field staff to corporate management.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to evaluate and implement effective solutions.
  • Self-motivated team player capable of working independently and driving results.
  • Proficiency in mobile devices and mobile forms for tracking and reporting purposes.
