Duties
Employment law assistance and compliance
You will also work closely with customer success team to provide daily advice on employment laws and regulations in order to answer clients’ queries. You will draft and review employment agreements, employee handbooks and any other document in order to be compliant with local employment laws. In addition, you will provide counsel to local management and the Human Resources team on a broad range of employment issues including: recruiting; hiring; employee relations; discipline and terminations; European working time compliance (including shift working, overtime), internal investigations; leaves of absence; discrimination and harassment issues; contingent worker issues; compensation, benefits, bonus and equity awards; employment litigation; negotiated exits and settlements.
In-House Development
You will contribute to developing and implementing processes for efficient and streamlined operations surrounding contract negotiation and processes. You will also help develop and maintain training materials, playbooks and guidelines.
Requirements
2-5 years’ experience (in-house experience is not essential).
Specialist knowledge of Spanish employment law.
You are fluent in English and Spanish; Catalan language is a plus.
You will be proactive, autonomous, resilient, adaptable, eager to continually learn and develop professionally.
You will be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
You have good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
