Role Overview


We’re looking for a Retention and Lifecycle Marketing Lead to refine and optimize the customer journey—from driving waitlist signups to converting members, while also boosting engagement and retention. This full-time remote contract role runs from April to September 2025.


We need an experienced Lifecycle Marketer to enhance and manage our multi-channel lifecycle marketing program across email, SMS, push, in-app messaging, and when required, select paid channels. You will play a key role in driving membership growth, engagement, and retention while supporting the overall marketing strategy. This role is highly dynamic, with opportunities to contribute to exciting campaigns across the marketing team as new initiatives arise.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and refine lifecycle marketing strategies to increase conversions and engagement
  • Identify opportunities for automation, personalization, and optimization through audience segmentation, journey mapping, and testing
  • Help oversee the prospect-to-paying-member journey, ensuring a seamless experience across touchpoints
  • Support waitlist user and member education initiatives
  • Contribute to select paid media strategies
  • Analyze user data and behaviors to enhance marketing effectiveness
  • Lead experimentation and testing to drive innovation and improvement
  • Manage our primary lifecycle marketing tool, Customer.io
  • Define and track KPIs, regularly reporting on performance
  • Stay updated on industry trends and exemplary user experiences, particularly in subscription healthcare products
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and lifecycle marketing best practices, while taking charge of overall email list health and upholding domain reputation and deliverability across all email campaigns
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Care Team, Design, and Copy teams on strategy, execution, and integration
  • Support core marketing initiatives as needed


Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, CRM, and automation, ideally in B2C, healthcare, or fitness industries
  • Strong expertise in email marketing, engagement strategies, and subscription models
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage projects
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in A/B testing, performance analysis, and reporting
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, proactive problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced, data-driven environment
  • Experience with email platforms like Customer.io, Iterable, or Braze is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
