Director of Operations

*Job Description:*
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations to oversee the daily management and strategic development of our Day Habilitation Program in New City. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring high-quality service delivery, compliance with regulatory requirements, staff supervision, and operational excellence in support of individuals with developmental disabilities.

*Key Responsibilities:*

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Day Habilitation program, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning
  • Supervise, mentor, and support program managers and direct support staff
  • Ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations and agency policies
  • Monitor program quality and implement improvements to enhance service delivery and participant outcomes
  • Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and support teams to maintain individualized, person-centered plans
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and training initiatives
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively to meet operational goals
  • Serve as a key liaison with families, community partners, and regulatory agencies
  • Prepare reports and participate in audits, site visits, and other oversight activities

*Qualifications:*

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Human Services, Healthcare Administration, or related field strongly preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in developmental disabilities services, with at least 2 years in a leadership or operations role
  • Strong knowledge of OPWDD regulations and Day Habilitation service standards
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage teams, budgets, and compliance-related processes
