About the role:
The Safety Supervisor is responsible for safety strategy and OSHA compliance across Grove’s two fulfillment centers in Reno, NV and Elizabethtown, PA. The Supervisor will work with each site’s Facilities Technician and leadership teams for strategy implementation and to keep a close pulse on the health of the strategies.
Available shifts:
Tuesday-Saturday; 7:00am - 3:30pm
Responsibilities:
Monitor and evaluate daily operations to mitigate risk and improve safety regulations
Identify and inform management of compliance issues, safety risks and improvement opportunities as they relate to Safety
Assist in maintaining accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to report to onsite management teams and corporate based reporting systems
Conduct theft investigations as needed
Conduct risk assessments related to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and new equipment introductions
Facilitate incident investigation process to include near misses, unsafe acts or unsafe conditions
Train and assist others (Ops Managers, Safety Team Members, etc.) to complete their Safety, Loss Prevention, Environmental Compliance and Food Safety responsibilities (Audits, Investigations, Follow Safety Rules, etc)
Manages safety records related to training, incident reports and other documentation

About You:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Some college experience is preferred.
Ability to work legally in the United States
Must be willing to submit a background check and drug test
Have a reliable means of transportation to meet the needs of the position
A minimum of 2 years of FC / warehousing experience in a Lead or Supervisory role
You are motivated by the challenge to keep all FC associates safe
You are not intimidated to speak up when you see a safety issue, no matter who is violating our policies, including HQ visitors or the site leadership
You will be fair and consistent when it comes to tracking and reporting safety violations. (no favoritism)
You are motivated by helping others succeed in working safely.
Being a coach for associates who don’t report to you is second nature and you find gratification by helping people work safely.
You enjoy finding positive behaviors to showcase and re-enforce them and publicly acknowledge people who are following the rules
Superior communication. Ability to break down policies into easy to understand concepts. In short, you enjoy talking with people and are thoughtful about how you do it
Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills
PIT Certifications preferred
Bilingual in Spanish preferred
Travel up to 15% of the time
