LHH is looking for a full-time Payroll Clerk to join our client growing company in Bellevue, WA. This position will be a 6-month contract that is fully onsite at the client location.
Job Title: Payroll Clerk
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Clerk to join our team. The Payroll Clerk will assist in processing payroll, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. This role requires strong attention to detail, good numerical skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Key Responsibilities:• Assist in processing payroll for employees on a bi-weekly/monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.• Maintain and update payroll records, including wages, deductions, benefits, and tax withholdings.• Support the preparation and processing of direct deposits, tax filings, and wage garnishments.• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws.• Address basic payroll discrepancies and assist employees with inquiries regarding wages, deductions, and benefits.• Collaborate with the HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate reporting and reconciliation.• Generate basic payroll reports and provide assistance in payroll analysis as needed.• Stay informed about changes in payroll regulations and best practices.Qualifications:• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.• Experience as a Payroll Clerk, Payroll Assistant, or in a similar role preferred.• Familiarity with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday) and MS Excel.• Basic knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and labor laws.• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.Compensation: $25-$30/hour DOEBenefits:LHH Recruitment Solutions benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan.
