Job Description

Mirantis is looking for a Product Manager who is passionate about crafting world-class developer experiences and executing product strategy for Lens Desktop—the most popular Kubernetes tool for cloud-native professionals, used by over a million users worldwide. Built on Electron, React, and TypeScript, Lens provides a powerful yet intuitive interface for Kubernetes management, helping developers and operators increase productivity and reduce complexity.

At Mirantis, we place a high value on user experience, design excellence, and customer-driven innovation. Our product managers combine deep technical understanding, strong user empathy, and strategic acumen to define product roadmaps, prioritize features, and drive adoption. This role is central to key initiatives—including top-of-funnel growth, ecosystem expansion, and conversion of free users to paid customers—while ensuring that user satisfaction and engagement continue to rise.

Responsibilities

  • Product Vision & Roadmap: Define and maintain the long-term vision and strategy for Lens Desktop, ensuring alignment with growth objectives in user adoption, revenue, and ecosystem development.

  • User & Market Research: Engage closely with Lens users (free and enterprise), internal stakeholders, and the broader cloud-native community to uncover opportunities. Use research, analytics, and telemetry to drive insights.

  • Feature Definition & Prioritization: Translate strategic goals into clear, actionable requirements that drive measurable impact (e.g., improved MAU, ARR growth, engagement, retention).

  • Growth & Monetization: Collaborate with engineering and GTM teams to refine product-led growth (PLG) strategies, including in-product activation, conversion from free to paid, and monetization experiments.

  • Ecosystem & Partnerships: Expand the Lens extensibility framework, launch sample extensions, and foster integrations with cloud-native vendors to enhance community adoption and strategic partnerships.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Bridge engineering, design, marketing, sales, and executive leadership, ensuring product goals and trade-offs are clearly communicated.

  • Release Management: Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle—ensuring that releases meet quality standards, drive user value, and align with business priorities.

  • Performance Tracking & Reporting: Define key success metrics (e.g., user engagement, retention, ARR impact), track outcomes, and present product insights to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Proven Product Management Experience: 3+ years of experience in product management, solutions architecture, or a related role, ideally in developer tools, open source, or cloud-native software.

  • Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with Kubernetes, cloud-native architectures, and developer tooling. Ability to engage in technical discussions and assess feasibility with engineers.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong analytical mindset, leveraging telemetry and user analytics to drive product insights and growth experiments.

  • User-Centric Mindset: Experience in developer-first product management, synthesizing user feedback into actionable product improvements.

  • Excellent Communication & Stakeholder Management: Ability to clearly articulate product direction, adapt messaging for technical and non-technical audiences, and collaborate effectively across teams.

  • Strategic Vision & Execution: Comfortable prioritizing initiatives in a PLG-driven environment, balancing self-serve experiences with enterprise monetization.

  • Passion for UX & Developer Productivity: A keen eye for usability and design, collaborating with UI/UX teams to create beautiful and intuitive experiences.

  • The work schedule is hybrid (office-remote) mandatory

  • Knowledge of Finnish language is required as strong preference.
