Sr/Principal HRBP

Outstanding opportunity for an experienced, professional, people-oriented People Partner in a fast-paced, start-up environment. The successful candidate will actively partner with leaders in business units by aligning people practices with organizational goals; key responsibilities include onboarding, off-boarding, performance management, employee relations, and data analysis to identify areas for improvement within the employee lifecycle. This person will also be the only People Partner for our CA site of a company headquartered in Holland, MI, so there will be some responsibility to help with California-centric compliance requirements and people operations support on site.   Must be comfortable as a people department of one, on site for primarily Engineering and R&D functions. 

 


Responsibilities
  • Drive continuous improvement in People processes to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
  • Partner with leaders in business units by aligning people practices with organizational goals.
  • Drive continued adoption of Lattice to manage OKR progress and record employee performance
  • Collaborate with VP to design and then help deliver an L&D program that supports the broader SC employee population
  • Develop learning development plans as we think about the future structure of different business functions and retention of key employees.
  • Partner with Recruiting to ensure consistent leveling, titling and compensation to our rubric.
  • Manage employee lifecycle events, including onboarding, off-boarding, and transitions, ensuring seamless experiences.
  • Ensure accurate and compliant HRIS records, partnering with payroll to maintain consistency and accuracy.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable labor laws, including employment regulations, EEO guidelines, and safety standards.
  • Help to manager relationships with CA audit partners and legal counsel.
  • Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data and auditing for accuracy and compliance
  • Create and maintain a positive employee relations climate to ensure that Natron is a great place to work and enables a highly productive and motivated workforce
  • Prepare and distribute written and verbal information to inform employees of various human resources policies and procedures
  • Guide and Coach managers on employee performance issues and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.


Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of People Partner experience
  • Strong experience with People Operations as it will be approx. 25% of the role
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and data management
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to build strong relationships with managers and employees across different levels
  • Strong project management skills to lead HR initiatives


Logistics
  • This is a 100% onsite role in Santa Clara
  • With east coast HQ, would be a benefit if you could skew earlier working hours ie: 8am start
  • Must be comfortable being the only People Partner on a site. There is a recruiter who works onsite in Santa Clara as well.
  • Role scope: Approximately 75% People Partner duties and 25% People Operations duties
  • Must be comfortable in a startup culture


Compensation Transparency

  • In addition, Natron Energy has a strong benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k Plan with Match, Life Insurance, Parental Leave Benefits, Discretionary Time Off (DTO) and Paid Time Off (PTO) for Exempt and Non-Exempt employees respectively, and 10 paid holidays.
  • The hiring range for this position, is 130k-180k, DOE and level for which you are considered
