The Creative / Graphic Designer will play a critical role in bringing the Gracenote brand and products to life.  This role is responsible for the brand’s visual identity and creating and executing creative strategies across all marketing channels including email, paid media, website, social and events.  The ideal candidate will have experience distilling complex ideas, technologies and products into visually compelling narratives that resonate with various audiences.  The creative / graphic designer will balance maintaining brand guidelines with fresh design perspectives and understand when to use the creative process and when to freshen existing templates. 


As the primary creative / design resource, we are looking for someone who can set the creative strategy and vision for projects as well as execute.  Prior design experience is a must. Candidates must have advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), with a strong understanding of design principles, typography, and layout techniques. Hands-on experience with tools such as Figma and Canva, along with basic knowledge of web design best practices is preferred. A successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and demonstrate an ability to execute with agility.


Responsibilities
  • This role will partner with marketers, writers and data analysts to develop creative assets to help drive or support brand, product and data narratives across owned and paid marketing channels
  • Manage development of creative executions across all channels that strongly resonate, while maintaining consistency for the Gracenote brand with close alignment to the Nielsen brand
  • Conceptualize and design graphics, visualizations, and animations for websites and other interactive platforms
  • Deliver creative concepts and digital assets to support integrated marketing campaigns including email, paid media, website, social media posts and events
  • Generate compelling motion graphics and videos to guide client and prospect journeys and support marketing strategies to drive awareness, consideration and conversion
  • Develop design templates for employee enablement for social and direct email campaigns, as well as client presentations 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across all work streams to deliver high-quality creative assets that align on business efforts
  • Partner closely with Communications to develop compelling social campaigns to engage and grow our online communities
  • Source and manage relevant agencies and production partners to leverage emerging media technologies and creative approaches for a variety of marketing activations
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities from ideation to execution 
  • Develop strategies that engage, educate and bring the Gracenote brand and data to life for key target audiences


Qualifications
  • 5 - 7+ years of marketing programs experience, with a focus on owned and paid email and digital marketing
  • Experience creating and executing design and creative concepts across all marketing channels
  • Experience working across various styles and mediums including illustration, iconography and animation weaving them together into holistic solutions
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and analytics
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, programs and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Motivated self-starter with ability/confidence to work independently, and as part of a team
  • Experience working with designers to develop compelling digital materials on time and on budget
  • Highly organized, great attention to detail and deadline driven
  • Works well under tight deadlines, self-starter and self-manager
  • Have a roll up your sleeves and get it done attitude – it is not enough to have great ideas, you must be able to get stuff done 
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities with a structured approach
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee to be offered this role would be $66,000 - $225,000 which would be adjusted based on each employee's geographic location.  The position of each employee within a compensation range at Nielsen is dependent on several individual circumstances, such as experience, training, certifications and other business requirements/needs.
