Social Media Intern

Who You Are:

You're a natural communicator and creative thinker who loves collaboration and experimentation. You’re meticulous and organized, no stranger to a good spreadsheet or calendar (but also able to be nimble and quick when called for). And—of course—you’re an avid social media user who brings fresh and unique ideas while staying on top of memes and trends. Bring your storytelling skills, fresh ideas, and gut instincts!

The Task At Hand:

The Social Media Intern reports to the Senior Manager of Social Media & Content and will be responsible for creating engaging content for Once Upon a Farm’s social media channels and supporting the team through organization and optimization.

In This Role, You Will:

• Write copy for social posts and captions

• Participate in brainstorming and planning sessions with the larger marketing team to align on quarterly priorities

• Collaborate with other team members—including the social media team, creative team, and sustainability team—on social assets

• Keep up to date on social media updates and trends, identify ones that make sense for our brand, and pitch/execute ideas

• Assist with scheduling and posting content

• Optional (if time allows and you are interested in doing so): create video content for Once Upon a Farm’s social channels

• Support the team with additional tasks as needed

In This Role, You’ll Bring With You:

• Recent graduate or currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, Creative Writing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience in social media marketing)

• Strong writing and communication skills

• Passion for social media and pop culture

• Empathy for parents and caregivers—even if you’re not a parent or caregiver, you’re able to put yourself in the shoes of one

• Creativity, boldness, and a willingness to experiment and learn

• Strong organizational and planning skills, allowing room for flexibility when needed

• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Slack, and other professional platforms

• Genuine passion for improving childhood nutrition for a healthier and happier planet

• Previous exposure to cross-functional work between Sustainability and Marketing preferred

• Desire to contribute to a dynamic high-growth, purpose-driven work environment

• Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity, deeply understand business needs, develop a cohesive strategy, and make decisions requiring a high level of judgment

• Must reside in the United States to be considered for this position

• Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old at the time of hire to be considered for this position

Compensation:

• This role pays $22.00 per hour

• This is a part-time, hourly internship, not to exceed 29 hours per week

• Estimated Duration: May 2025–November 2025 (or six months from the date of hire)

Additional:

• Remote-first work environment

• 401(k) program + 4% company match after three months

• Employee Discounts and quarterly Farm-to-Fridge home deliveries

• Media Cell and Internet Stipend

• Paid Volunteer Time

• And so much more!
