Overview: As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will lead engineering teams in the application of multi-disciplinary approaches to a wide range of engineering processes, including requirements engineering, solutions design, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, system integration, testing and evaluation, maintainability, and analysis. You will collaborate across the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and federal agencies to ensure the delivery of timely and accurate GEOINT (Geospatial Intelligence) solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Guidance: Mentor and guide Mid-level and Junior-level Systems Engineers in performing key engineering tasks such as requirements engineering, solutions design, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, system integration, testing, and evaluation within the NSG, ASG, and federal agencies.
Requirements & Architecture Planning: Lead the planning, analysis, and traceability of user requirements, system architectures, procedures, and problem-solving efforts to enhance or automate existing systems. Evaluate cloud services, workflow, and scheduling capabilities to identify limitations and improvements.
Solution Design & Development: Direct the design and development of system solutions by analyzing user requirements and leveraging new technologies.
Mission & Requirements Translation: Assist the government in capturing and translating mission and customer needs into clear systems and capability requirements, ensuring alignment with overall goals and objectives.
Systems Architecture & Allocation: Support the analysis and allocation of requirements across system architecture components, ensuring effective execution of related programs.
Systems Integration: Oversee and perform systems integration activities to ensure seamless operation across all system components.
Analysis & Assessment: Conduct Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Course of Actions (CoAs), trade studies, and engineering assessments to guide decision-making and optimize solutions.
Strategic & Technical Planning: Assist the government in technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design.
Cross-Agency Integration: Lead efforts to integrate multiple systems, services, processes, and interfaces within Major Systems Acquisitions, ensuring collaboration across various organizational and agency boundaries.
