Operations

About The Role

At Silna, we’re a small, scrappy but mighty team tackling one of the most complex and critical areas of healthcare operations: insurance workflows. From eligibility and benefit checks to prior authorizations, we’re creating efficient, scalable solutions that empower providers and deliver better outcomes for patients.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of building and optimizing processes that simplify the notoriously opaque world of insurance operations. You’ll work hands-on to design workflows, solve problems, and drive real-world impact from day one—all while collaborating closely across our lean, high-performing team. As a founding member of our Operations team, you will create SOPs that set our team of insurance specialists up for success and optimize the efficiency and accuracy of their completion of tasks. You’ll support the expansion of states, payers, and specialties in addition to our scaling customer base by taking on the pivotal role of leading our team of insurance specialists, identifying fundamental components of our product that necessitate creation or iteration, configuring the rules and frameworks for accomplishing tasks both automatically and manually, and building out robust tracking. You’ll partner with engineering to determine where there are opportunities to automate, and help design and execute on building out these automated systems.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience driving outcomes in complex and ambiguous environments and creating processes that scale. This person should be energized by the prospect of working within a fast-paced, chaotic environment. This is a unique chance to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our business and the lives we touch, all within a data-first, startup environment.

What You’ll Do at Silna

  • Design and optimize our core workflows: Build foundational processes for key operational areas, including eligibility and benefit checks and prior authorizations.

  • Solve complex problems: Drive the execution, monitoring, and refinement of workflows and systems that address core business challenges and deliver measurable results.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with product, engineering, and sales to align on goals, troubleshoot issues, and achieve shared outcomes.

  • Streamline and scale: Create systems and tools that make insurance processes more transparent, efficient, and scalable.

  • Lead from the ground up: Pilot new initiatives, iterate quickly, and own the success of your work from idea to execution.

  • Data analysis: Assess and analyze data to develop and determine strategies for accelerating progress, proactively identify areas for improvement, and deliver on roadmap priorities and team OKRs.

You’ll Be Great For This Role If You:

  • Have 1-4+ years of experience in operations, consulting, or related fields—experience with insurance workflows or healthcare operations is a plus but not necessary.

  • Are a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, is comfortable navigating the complexity of insurance processes and takes ownership over their work

  • Are data-driven, with the ability to analyze workflows, identify inefficiencies, and design solutions that deliver tangible results.

  • Are a collaborator who works effectively across small teams to achieve shared goals.

  • Think in systems, with a passion for automating and scaling solutions to simplify insurance-related challenges.

  • Care about making a difference in the lives of providers and patients
