The Behavior Management Specialist is responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and monitoring a consistent behavior management program for juvenile justice students with an emphasis on proactive programming. Further, the Behavior Management Specialist serves as a resource for teachers, administrative staff, and family members regarding behavior support and behavior management for the students at the Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program.
Must be able to obtain Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification and First Aid Certification (CPR). Must be able to supervise clients indoors and outdoors as necessary. Bending, stooping and lifting up to 30 lbs required to complete daily tasks. Involves walking and standing for extended periods of time.
Work shifts are subject to change. Noise levels vary from mild to moderate. Predominantly indoors, occasional outdoor monitoring or activities. This position’s location varies to include confined spaces encountered while traveling across the county. Exposed to prevalent weather conditions.
